Kevin Durant’s return to the Phoenix lineup has brought back the Suns’ winning ways. Phoenix is 9-1 this season when Durant plays, and they aim to continue their success against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.

The Suns struggled with a 1-6 record during Durant’s seven-game absence due to a strained left calf. Bradley Beal also returned after missing five games with the same injury, during which Phoenix lost all five contests.

In their first game back together, Durant, Beal, and Devin Booker combined for 72 points in a commanding 127-100 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Booker contributed 26 points and 10 assists, while Durant and Beal each scored 23 points.

This win marked Phoenix’s first victory since defeating the Utah Jazz on November 12. Suns coach Mike Budenholzer noted an increase in the team’s energy levels with the return of their key players.

Booker expressed relief at having the “Big Three” reunited, stating that their presence makes it easier to attack defenses. Phoenix dominated the second half, outscoring the Lakers 65-40.

The Nets, meanwhile, have won two consecutive games and three of their last four. They secured a significant 128-120 comeback victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday, overcoming an 18-point deficit in the third quarter.

Cam Thomas scored 23 points before a hamstring injury sidelined him for the remainder of the game, and he will miss the matchup against Phoenix. Cam Johnson also hurt his ankle in the first half and is questionable for the game against his former team.

Dennis Schroder, who was questionable due to a right ankle injury, led the Nets with 31 points and seven assists. Ziaire Williams (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Jalen Wilson (18 points, seven rebounds) also delivered strong performances.

Phoenix has dominated recent meetings, winning five of the last six against Brooklyn.
