Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson share the top spot on the list of the biggest favorites to win the 2024 Enjoy Illinois 300 NASCAR race.
The reason why Hamlin is seen as a likely winner is that he’s been in great form lately. After winning the race in Dover in April, he went on to finish in the top 5 spots in the following three races, which propelled him all the way to the top of the 2024 NASCAR Drivers’ Championship.
If you’re wondering why Kyle Larson is expected to do well on June 2, it’s because he’s been fantastic throughout the season. Last weekend, he attempted “double duty”, but bad weather ruined his plans.
After finishing the Indy 500 race, he was meant to go and compete in NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600.
Unfortunately, the start of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” in Indianapolis was delayed due to poor weather conditions, so he didn’t get a chance to get to Charlotte in time.
As a result, he dropped to 3rd place in the NASCAR standings. Knowing this, it’s only logical to assume that he’s determined to get back to his winning ways ASAP.
There are three drivers with the Enjoy Illinois 300 odds of +900, namely, Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, and Martin Truex Jr. Bell is the man who won the race in Charlotte last weekend, while Blaney and Truex Jr. are still without a win in 2024.
There are also another nine drivers with NASCAR odds between +1000 and +2000. Among those are Joey Logano (+1000) and Kyle Busch (+1200), the only two winners of the Enjoy Illinois race.
