Race Overview
The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series returns to Rockingham Speedway for the first time since 2013, marking a highly anticipated revival of racing at “The Rock.” This event serves as the final leg of the 2025 Triple Truck Challenge, where Daniel Hemric and Chandler Smith are competing for a $150,000 bonus if either wins at Rockingham.
The track’s abrasive surface and high tire wear will challenge drivers to manage their equipment effectively over long runs. The stage cautions will fall on laps 45 and 90, with the checkered flag waving at lap 200.
Track History & Significance
Rockingham Speedway has a rich NASCAR legacy, hosting Cup Series races from 1965 to 2004 and Truck Series events in 2012 and 2013. The track was remeasured at 0.94 miles with 22-25 degrees of banking, and underwent a $9 million renovation, including repaving in 2022.
Past Truck Series winners at Rockingham include Kasey Kahne (2012) and Kyle Larson (2013). Only four drivers in the current field have prior Truck Series experience at Rockingham: Matt Crafton, Norm Benning, Grant Enfinger, and Parker Kligerman.

Race Strategy & Key Factors
Tire Management
Rockingham’s abrasive surface will lead to significant tire wear, making long-run speed and pit strategy crucial. Teams will need to balance aggressive early racing with conserving tires for the final laps.
Track Position & Restarts
With limited banking, maintaining track position will be vital. Drivers who can capitalize on restarts and stay up front will have the best chance at victory.
Pit Strategy & Fuel Management
The 188-mile distance will require multiple pit stops, and teams must decide whether to short-pit for fresh tires or stretch fuel runs to gain track position.
