The Union have won consecutive matches against Atlanta United, including a 4-1 victory at home on August 31. Philadelphia has never won an MLS match in Atlanta, however, (D2 L3, including playoffs), one of three opponents the Union have visited five or more times without ever winning (8 at Dallas, 6 RSL).

Atlanta United has won consecutive matches for the first time in a years after wins over Toronto and Orlando. The Five Stripes have lost only three of their last 22 MLS matches (W13 D6) dating back to last September.

The Union continued their record scoring pace with a 5-1 win over Orlando City on Saturday. Philadelphia has now scored 23 goals in its last five games, three more than any other team in a five-game span in league history.

Thiago Almada scored the lone goal in Atlanta’s victory in Orlando on Wednesday, his second straight match with a goal. This is the eighth time an Atlanta player has scored in consecutive matches this season, though no player has scored in three straight since Josef Martinez in September 2021.

The Union have only conceded 22 times this season, the fewest after 31 matches in a season in MLS history, one fewer than the Galaxy allowed at this stage in 2011. Philadelphia has conceded more than one goal just once in its last 21 MLS matches (3-1 loss at Cincinnati on August 6).
