Jackson Wolf wins in his debut as Padres route Tigers 14-3
- Called up from Double-A San Antonio, 24-year-old Jackson Wolf got the win after working 5.0 innings and allowing 3 runs on 6 hits with 1 strikeout…he became the 1st Padre to earn the winning decision in his MLB debut since Logan Allen on June 18, 2019 vs. MIL.
- The San Diego bullpen worked 4.0 scoreless ball and just 2 hits with 5 punchouts and 1 walk.
- Luis Campusano had a career-high 4 hits, including a 3-run homer in the 8th inning for a 4 RBI game…Ha-Seong Kim also homered, going 3-for-4 with 2 walks, and Manny Machado also hit a 3-run homer in the 3rd…Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Alfonso Rivas doubled, and Jake Cronenworth tripled… the Padres went 6-for-11 with RISP.

TIGERS DROP SECOND STRAIGHT TO SAN DIEGO: The Tigers lost to the Padres 14-3 on Saturday night. Zack Short drove in a pair of runs and went 1×3, while Jake Rogers went 1×4 with a double and a RBI. Miguel Cabrera and Zach McKinstry each had a hit and scored a run. Matt Manning threw 2.0 shutout innings with one hit allowed, two walks and two strikeouts before his outing was cut short by rain.
