MLB Announces Umpire Assignments for 2025 All-Star Game Presented by Mastercard

Veteran umpire Dan Iassogna has been named Crew Chief for the upcoming 95th Midsummer Classic on Tuesday, July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta, marking his second career All-Star Game appearance after officiating the 2011 contest in Arizona. Iassogna—who joined the Major League staff in 2004 and was elevated to crew chief in 2020—will take his position behind the plate.

Joining Iassogna’s crew are:

  • Marvin Hudson (1B) – Georgia native and longtime Crew Chief; second All-Star selection (first: 2004)
  • Chris Segal (2B) – First All-Star Game assignment
  • Jansen Visconti (3B) – First All-Star Game assignment
  • Jeremie Rehak (LF) – First All-Star Game assignment
  • Erich Bacchus (RF) – First All-Star Game assignment

Futures Game & All-Star Week Events (Minor League Umpires)

Selected umpires for the All-Star Futures Game (Saturday, July 12 at Truist Park):

  • Charlie Welling (Triple-A) – Home Plate
  • Elliott Melton (Double-A) – First Base
  • Bryan Van Vranken (Triple-A) – Second Base
  • Jared Duerson (Double-A) – Third Base

In addition, all four will officiate:

  • Saturday’s High School Home Run Derby
  • Monday’s T-Mobile Home Run Derby
  • Melton and Duerson will also take part in Saturday’s All-Star Celebrity Softball Game presented by GEICO
