Minnesota Wild Re-Signs Forward Michael Milne to One-Year, Two-Way Contract

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin today announced that the club has signed forward Michael Milne to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025–26 NHL season. The deal carries NHL/AHL values of $775,000 and $100,000, respectively.

Milne, 22, appeared in 60 games for the AHL’s Iowa Wild during the 2024–25 campaign, registering 26 points (15 goals, 11 assists), including two power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and one short-handed tally. The Abbotsford, British Columbia native ranked sixth on the team in goals and made his NHL debut with Minnesota on November 16 against Dallas.

Through three AHL seasons (2022–25), Milne has compiled 60 points (30 goals, 30 assists), 90 penalty minutes, seven power-play goals, and 291 shots in 157 career games with Iowa. He also appeared in two Calder Cup Playoff contests in 2023. Prior to turning pro, Milne played four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Winnipeg Ice and Kootenay Ice, recording 133 points (60 goals, 73 assists), a +66 rating, 103 penalty minutes, 10 power-play goals, and nine game-winners in 175 career games.

Milne was selected by the Wild in the third round (89th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.
