SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Wild today announced that the club has acquired a fourth-round selection (102nd overall) in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Seattle Kraken in exchange for forward Freddy Gaudreau, as confirmed by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin.

With this transaction, Minnesota now holds five total picks in the upcoming 2025 NHL Draft:

  • Round 2: 52nd overall
  • Round 4: 102nd (from Seattle) & 121st (from Toronto)
  • Round 5: 141st (from Columbus)
  • Round 6: 180th overall

Freddy Gaudreau, 32, appeared in 307 games with the Wild from 2021 to 2025, registering 134 points (56 goals, 78 assists), including eight power-play goals, 10 game-winning tallies, and 485 shots on goal.

Across his eight-year NHL career, the Quebec native has accumulated 152 points (61-91—152), 11 power-play goals, 11 game-winners, and a +9 rating in 410 games spanning stints with Nashville (2016–2019), Pittsburgh (2020–2021), and Minnesota.
