MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins have announced the trade of utility player Michael Helman to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for cash considerations.

Helman, 28, appeared in nine games for the Twins last season, recording a .300 batting average (3-for-10) with two doubles. He made his Major League debut on September 3 against the Tampa Bay Rays. Helman was selected by the Twins in the 11th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of Texas A&M University.

With this transaction, the Twins’ 40-man roster now stands at 39 players: 22 pitchers, four catchers, five infielders, five outfielders, and three utility players.
