DETROIT, MI – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned infielder Jose Miranda from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day Injured List.

Miranda, who missed the club’s last nine games with a low back strain, played in two games on rehab assignment this week with Triple-A St. Paul, going 3-for-6 with one double and two walks. Prior to landing on the IL, Miranda played in 76 games for the Twins, hitting .325 (83-for-255) with 21 doubles, one triple, nine home runs, 43 RBI, 35 runs scored, 14 walks, a .366 on-base percentage, a .522 slugging percentage and an .888 OPS.

To make room for Miranda on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned infielder Edouard Julien to Triple-A St. Paul.
