MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins have announced the reinstatement of right-handed pitcher Pablo López from the 15-day Injured List following a successful rehab assignment.

López had been sidelined for the past 14 games due to a right hamstring strain. During his rehab start on April 19 with Triple-A St. Paul against Iowa, he allowed one run on three hits, including one home run, while striking out four batters and walking none over his outing.

Before his injury, the 29-year-old posted a 1-1 record with a stellar 1.62 ERA over three starts, logging 16.2 innings pitched, two walks, and 14 strikeouts. López is set to return to action tonight as he starts for the Twins against the Los Angeles Angels at Target Field.

To make room on the roster, the Twins optioned right-handed pitcher David Festa to Triple-A St. Paul. Festa was sent down after his start on Wednesday night against the Chicago White Sox.
