David Festa optioned to Triple-A St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Josh Winder from Triple-A St. Paul.

Winder, 27, has appeared in 15 games for the Saints this season, going 2-0 with a 4.78 ERA (26.1 IP, 14 ER), eight walks and 28 strikeouts. In his last six appearances for St. Paul, since June 12, he has posted a 3.48 ERA (10.1 IP, 4 ER) with two walks and 11 strikeouts. The Richmond, Virginia native pitched in 19 games for Minnesota in 2023, going 2-1 with a 4.15 ERA (34.2 IP, 16 ER) with one save, 14 walks and 28 strikeouts.

To make room for Winder on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher David Festa to St. Paul. Festa, who made his major league debut in Arizona on June 27, made two starts for the Twins, going 1-1 with a 10.80 ERA (10.0 IP, 12 ER), one walk and eight strikeouts.
