Michigan Gaming Control board takes action against 10 illegal offshore operators

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has taken bold action against illegal gaming activities by issuing cease-and-desist letters to 10 offshore operators under the ownership of Apex Dynamics Ltd., a Belize-based company. This firm stance emphasizes the MGCB’s unwavering dedication to preserving lawful gaming practices while shielding Michigan residents from the risks of unregulated operators.

List of Offending Operators

The following unlicensed operators were found to be illegally offering casino-style games to Michigan players, leading to decisive action by the MGCB:

  • Aladdin’s Gold Casino
  • All Star Slots
  • Buzz Luck
  • Club World Casinos
  • CryptoReels
  • High Noon Casino
  • Lucky Red Casino
  • Manhattan Slots Casino
  • ReelSpin Casino
  • Slotter Casino

Safeguarding Gaming Integrity

“The Gaming Control Board remains relentless in its efforts to uphold the integrity of Michigan’s gaming environment,” said MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams. “Illegal operators erode public trust in our legal gaming system, and we will continue to act decisively to eliminate their influence.”

Investigative Findings

The MGCB’s investigation unearthed significant violations of Michigan’s gaming laws, including breaches of the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code. These operators actively promoted unlawful gaming services while offering convenient payment methods such as Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, and even cryptocurrency. However, many imposed exploitative withdrawal terms, forcing players to meet steep wagering requirements before accessing their winnings.

A Stern Warning

The cease-and-desist orders serve as a strong message to Apex Dynamics Ltd. and others engaging in similar practices: non-compliance with Michigan’s gaming laws will not be tolerated. The MGCB has given these operators 14 days to cease all illegal activities. Should they fail to comply, the board will work closely with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office to initiate further legal proceedings.

Ensuring a Safe Gaming Landscape

The MGCB remains vigilant in its mission to protect Michigan’s lawful gaming ecosystem. By shutting down rogue operators, the agency continues to ensure that all gaming activities remain safe, regulated, and fair for Michigan residents.

This proactive approach not only bolsters trust in the state’s legal gaming platforms but also sends a clear message to illegal entities operating within its borders—Michigan will accept nothing less than full compliance.
