The Dolphins’ opponent, along with the game date and kickoff time, will be announced with the full 2025 NFL schedule this spring. This event marks the NFL’s commitment to growing the game at every level in Spain, engaging fans through various programs and initiatives year-round.
Global Markets Program
The Dolphins, along with the Chicago Bears, have marketing rights in Spain as part of the league’s Global Markets Program. This initiative allows NFL clubs to build brand awareness and fandom beyond the U.S. through fan engagement, events, and commercial opportunities.
NFL Flag Launch
NFL Flag, the official program for non-contact football, was launched in Spain in 2024 in partnership with the Federación Española de Fútbol Americano (FEFA). This effort aims to increase participation and inspire the next generation as flag football approaches its debut as an Olympic sport at LA28.
Future International Games
From 2025, the NFL can schedule up to eight league-operated regular season games internationally. In addition to the Madrid game, the league will play two games in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, one game in Berlin at the Olympic Stadium, and another in London at Wembley Stadium with the Jacksonville Jaguars as the designated home team.
The NFL has a history of international games, with 55 regular season games played worldwide, including in London, Munich, Frankfurt, São Paulo, Mexico City, and Toronto. The Dolphins have previously played internationally in London, Frankfurt, and Toronto.
