The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued a public notice alerting consumers to a series of active websites that are falsely presenting themselves as MGA‑licensed operators. The regulator says the sites are misleading users into believing they are authorized under Malta’s Gaming Act (Chapter 583) and its associated regulatory framework.
According to the MGA, the following domains have been identified as impersonating licensed operators:
- manekicasino.bet
- dragonaracasino.uk.com
- slot-hunter.at
The Authority stated it has no affiliation with these websites or any other platform attempting to imitate MGA licensing credentials. Any references to MGA authorization displayed on these domains are false, misleading, and not issued by the regulator.
The MGA emphasized that consumers should verify an operator’s licensing status before engaging with its services. Entities licensed by the MGA are subject to stringent regulatory requirements designed to safeguard players, ensure operational integrity, and protect consumer funds. Unlicensed operators, the Authority warned, operate outside this framework and do not provide the protections mandated under Maltese gaming regulations, placing users at increased risk.
The regulator encouraged the public to consult official MGA resources when confirming whether an operator is duly authorized.
