LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have claimed infielder Buddy Kennedy off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays and placed Max Muncy on the injured list with an oblique strain. To clear space on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers have designated right-handed pitcher Julian Fernández for assignment.

Kennedy, 26, was designated for assignment by Toronto on August 12 after going 1-for-5 at the plate. He has appeared in parts of four MLB seasons with:
