Roki Sasaki, the top-rated prospect by MLB.com, had an impressive season with the Chiba Lotte Marines last year, posting a 10-5 record with a 2.35 ERA over 111 innings. The Japanese star has a career record of 30-15 with a 2.02 ERA over four seasons with the Marines, racking up 524 strikeouts in 414.2 innings, three complete games, and a 0.883 WHIP across 69 games.

In a historic move, the Dodgers signed Joseph Deng, a right-handed pitcher from South Sudan, making him the first player from his country to sign a professional contract in Major League Baseball. Deng, standing at 6-foot-7, is one of two players from Africa to sign, joining Armstrong Muhoozi, an infielder from Uganda who signed with the Pirates.

The Dodgers also secured highly touted pitcher Adrian Torres from Panama, widely regarded as the best left-handed pitching prospect in this year’s class by many international scouts.

This international class features players from seven different countries, with Venezuela leading the pack with 12 signees, followed by the Dominican Republic with eight and Mexico with four.
