LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired right-handed pitcher Will Klein from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for minor league pitcher Joe Jacques. In additional roster adjustments, the club has recalled right-hander Ryan Loutos while optioning Noah Davis. To make room for Klein, the Dodgers designated Chris Stratton for assignment.

Will Klein’s Profile

Klein, 25, made his Major League debut in 2024, appearing for both the Kansas City Royals and Oakland Athletics, where he allowed nine runs in 7.1 innings. This season, with Triple-A Tacoma, Klein recorded a 2-0 record with a 7.17 ERA, striking out 32 batters in 21.1 innings across 22 appearances. Over five minor league seasons, Klein holds a 13-9 record with a 5.34 ERA in 175 games. The Royals selected him in the fifth round of the 2020 MLB Draft out of Eastern Illinois University.

Ryan Loutos Returns

Loutos, 26, returns to the Dodgers after a brief one-inning appearance earlier in the season, where he allowed two runs on three hits. In his young career, Loutos has pitched 3.1 innings, surrendering two runs on five hits with one strikeout. Across five minor league seasons, the former undrafted free agent has posted a 4.68 ERA with 256 strikeouts in 231 innings.

These roster changes reflect the Dodgers’ ongoing adjustments as they look to bolster their bullpen depth.
