Lithuania’s gambling industry reported significant revenue gains in the first quarter of 2025, driven by both land-based and online gaming sectors.

According to recent figures, total gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the country reached €63 million in Q1 2025, reflecting steady growth across all gambling categories.

Breakdown of Q1 2025 Revenue:

  • Land-based gambling: €19.2 million (+11.9% year-over-year)
  • Remote gambling: €44.1 million (+12.4% year-over-year)

This marks a notable increase compared to Q1 2024, with land-based gaming revenue rising by €2 million and remote gaming revenue climbing by €5 million.

Lottery Performance:

The lottery sector also experienced growth, with ticket sales reaching €39.5 million, a 10.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Lottery winnings paid out totaled €21.5 million, rising 4.2% from Q1 2024.

Tax Contributions to Lithuania’s Budget:

During the first three months of 2025, Lithuania collected €21,072,900 in lottery and gambling taxes, including:

  • €7,598,825 from large lottery operators
  • €13,474,075 from gambling operators

These figures highlight Lithuania’s expanding gambling market, with digital gaming leading the way as online platforms continue to attract more players.
