NEW YORK – Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Miami Dolphins linebacker Tyrel Dodson and Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for Week 17 (December 25-26, 28-30).

OFFENSE: QB JOE BURROW, CINCINNATI BENGALS

  • Burrow completed 39 of 49 pass attempts (79.6 percent), led the NFL in Week 17 with 412 passing yards and had four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) with a 122.1 passer rating in the Bengals’ 30-24 overtime win against the Broncos. This marked Burrow’s seventh-career game with at least 400 passing yards, tied for the most such games by a player in his first five seasons in NFL history.
  • This is the seventh-career Offensive Player of the Week award for Burrow and first this season. He joins Boomer Esiason (nine-time winner) as the only Bengals players with seven-or-more Player of the Week awards.

DEFENSE: LB TYREL DODSON, MIAMI DOLPHINS

  • Dodson recorded 15 tackles and had an interception in Miami’s 20-3 win at Cleveland. His 15 tackles led the NFL in Week 17. Dodson is the first AFC linebacker to record 15 tackles and an interception in a game since Vontaze Burfict (Week 13, 2016).
  • This is Dodson’s first-career Defensive Player of the Week award, becoming the fourth Dolphins linebacker to earn the honor in the past 20 seasons (2005-24), joining Bradley Chubb (Week 15, 2023), Pro Football Hall of Famer Zach Thomas (Week 14, 2005) and Kyle Van Noy (Week 13, 2020).
  • Dodson becomes the third former Texas A&M linebacker to win Defensive Player of the Week in the past 20 seasons (2005-24), joining Edgerrin Cooper (two-time winner) and Von Miller (four).

SPECIAL TEAMS: K CAMERON DICKER, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

  • Dicker converted all four of his field goal attempts, including a 41-yard field goal, and all four of his point-after attempts in the Chargers’ 40-7 win at New England. His 16 points scored were the most among kickers in Week 17.
  • This is the third-career Special Teams Player of the Week award for Dicker, becoming the third Chargers kicker to earn the honor multiple times, joining John Carney (eight-time winner) and Nick Novak (three).
