Guardians complete four roster related transactions

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Guardians today announced the following transactions relative to the Major League roster:

Activated RHP Carlos Carrasco from the 15-day Injured List (acute neck spasms).

Selected the contract of INF/OF Daniel Schneemann from AAA Columbus.

Placed RHP Eli Morgan on the 15-day Injured List (right elbow inflammation, retro. to May 30).

Optioned OF Johnathan Rodríguez to AAA Columbus.

Schneemann, 27, batted .294 (53-for-180) with 15 doubles, 10 home runs, 39 RBI and a .984 OPS in 53 games with AAA Columbus this season, ranking among International League hitters in extra-base hits (26, T1st), walks (41, 3rd), total bases (100, 4th) and on-base percentage (.428, 6th). In his last 27 games since May 1, Schneemann hit .317 (32-for-101) with 5 home runs, a .545 slugging percentage and a .960 OPS. The left-handed-hitting utility player has made starts at shortstop (18), third base (15), center field (7), right field (4), left field (3), second base (3) and designated hitter (2) for the Clippers in 2024. A native of San Diego, CA, Schneemann was drafted by Cleveland in the 33rd round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of Brigham Young University (UT). He will wear No. 10 and is slated to make his MLB debut.
