Elijah Lugo has added another feather to his cap by clinching a gold medal at the 2024 World Boxing U19 Championships for Team USA.

The tournament, which ran from late October to last week, saw Lugo dominate his matches. He delivered a strong final performance against Latvia’s Nikita Prohovskis, winning by unanimous decision. This victory capped an impressive run of over two weeks, including winning on points and securing a technical stoppage victory (RSC) in earlier rounds. His stellar performance contributed significantly to Team USA’s multiple medal haul.

Lugo’s triumph at the World Boxing U19 Championships underscores his elite boxing skills, strength, and power. This gold medal follows an impressive start to 2024, during which he set Team USA’s record for knockouts, a record previously held by his older brother, Nathan Lugo.

Nathan Lugo, represented by Split-T Management and promoted by Frank and George Warren of Queensberry Promotions, made his professional debut in 2024 and has been featured on DAZN for his bouts.

Elijah Lugo, 18, hails from Marietta, Georgia, and is trained by his father, Michael Lugo, at the Lugo Boxing Club. Keep an eye out for more updates on Elijah’s promising career in the near future.
