DraftKings users can now improve their parlay odds with a new $20 per month subscription service, as first reported by Sportico.

Max 100% Boost Called DraftKings Sportsbook+, the subscription service has launched exclusively in New York. It offers “Unlimited ‘Stepped Up’ Boost Tokens” that can be applied to parlays and same game parlays within 30 minutes of subscribing. Participants can receive a maximum 100% profit boost on winning parlays with 11 or more legs.

DraftKings is the first sportsbook to introduce a subscription service. The service was quietly launched in New York on December 28.

High New York Taxes In a statement, the company said: “The subscription service was designed to offer our customers an enhanced fan experience, creating more excitement and value to our extensive parlay offering.”

As reported in September, DraftKings CEO Jason Robins mentioned exploring alternative avenues to address high sports betting taxes in jurisdictions like New York, which has a tax rate of 51%. In August, DraftKings had proposed a tax on winning bets in high-tax states but abandoned the idea within two weeks.

Massive Expansion in Popularity of Parlays DraftKings has not yet announced plans to roll out the subscription service in other states. The subscription offers bettors the chance to make longer shot wagers more lucrative. Parlay bets have become increasingly profitable for sportsbooks, driven by aggressive advertising from companies like DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM.

According to Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of FanDuel, over 262 million ‘Same Game’ bets were made globally in the last quarter of 2023 across Flutter’s key brands—nearly 75% more than in the same period in 2022.

This new subscription service from DraftKings reflects the growing popularity and profitability of parlay betting in the sports betting industry.
