LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers signed right-handed pitcher Ryan Brasier to a two-year contract for $9 million.

Brasier, 36, returns for his second season with the Dodgers after going 2-0 with a 0.70 ERA in 39 games for the Dodgers last season. He began the season with the Red Sox, going 1-0 with a 7.29 ERA and was released on May 21. He signed with the Dodgers on June 4 and after two appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, he went on to lead all Major League relievers (min. 35 G) in ERA (0.70) and opponents’ OPS (.397), while finishing second in WHIP (0.72) and fourth in opponents’ batting average (.140). He has been in the Major Leagues parts of seven seasons, and he is a combined 9-8 with a 3.88 ERA with Los Angeles Angels (2013), Boston Red Sox (2018-23) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2023). He was originally drafted by the Angels in the sixth round of the 2007 First Year Player Draft out of Weatherford College (TX).
