Dodgers sign Kiké Hernández

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to terms with infielder/outfielder Kiké Hernández on a one-year deal for $4 million.

Hernández, 32, returns to the Dodgers after finishing the 2023 season with the Boys in Blue. In 54 games with the Dodgers, he slashed .262/.308/.423 with five homers and 30 RBI. He began the season with Boston, batting .222 with six homers and 31 RBI in 86 games. This will be his third stint with the Dodgers, and he is a .242 hitter with 73 homers and 243 RBI with the team. The Puerto Rican native has been in the Major Leagues parts of 10 seasons, amassing 108 homers and 393 RBI in 1,057 games between Houston (2014), Miami (2014), Los Angeles (2015-2020, 2023) and Boston (2021-22). Hernández was originally drafted by the Houston Astros in the sixth round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft out of the American Military Academy in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.
