LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Nabil Crismatt and optioned right-handed pitcher Kyle Hurt. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred right-handed pitcher Emmet Sheehan to the 60-day injured list.

Crismatt, 29, joins the Dodgers after spending most of the last three seasons with San Diego. The right-hander has been in the Major Leagues parts of four seasons with St. Louis (2020), San Diego (2021-23) and Arizona (2023) and he is a combined 8-5 with a 3.76 ERA with 156 strikeouts in 170 innings. He made six appearances at Camelback Ranch during Spring Training, allowing five runs in 5.1 innings with six strikeouts. He signed with the Dodgers on December 12, 2023.

Hurt, 25, pitched 2.2 innings last night, allowing one unearned run and striking out three. He has made two appearances this year, allowing four hits in 4.2 innings with three strikeouts. He has been with the Dodgers two seasons, striking out six in 6.2 innings. The 2023 Branch Rickey Minor League Pitcher of the Year struck out a minor league best 152 batters in 92 innings while sporting a .205 batting average against last season. He went 4-4 with a 3.91 ERA in 26 games (16 starts) between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City. He was acquired from the Marlins on February 12, 2021 along with left-handed pitcher Alex Vesia in exchange for right-hander Dylan Floro. In three minor league seasons, he is a combined 11-13 with a 4.63 ERA with 297 strikeouts in 184.2 innings.
