Dodgers select Dinelson Lamet

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Dinelson Lamet and designated right-handed pitcher Nabil Crismatt for assignment.

Lamet, 31, added to the roster after splitting the 2023 season with Boston and Colorado. The right-hander went a combined 1-4 with an 11.57 ERA in 17 games (four starts) last season. The Santiago, Dominican Republic native is in his seventh Major League season after spending parts of the previous six years with San Diego (2017, 2019-2022), Colorado (2022-23) and Boston (2023), going a combined 17-24 with 471 strikeouts in 363.1 innings. He signed with the Dodgers on February 5, 2024 and made four Spring Training appearances, allowing one run in 3.2 innings with five strikeouts. He was originally signed by the Padres in June of 2014 as an international free agent.

Crismatt, 29, made his Dodgers debut last night, striking out three batters in 2.0 innings to record the win. The right-hander notched his first win since July 7, 2022 and he is now a combined 9-5 with 3.72 ERA in 172 innings across five Major League seasons with St. Louis (2020), San Diego (2021-23), Arizona (2023) and Los Angeles (2024). He had his best season in 2022 with the Padres, posting a 2.94 ERA with a career-high five wins and 65 strikeouts in 67.1 innings. He signed with the Dodgers on December 12, 2023.
