LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired left-handed pitcher Anthony Banda from the Cleveland Guardians for cash considerations.

Banda, 30, appeared in 12 games for Triple-A Columbus this season, posting a 2.12 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 17.0 innings. He was last in the Major Leagues last season as a member of the Washington Nationals, pitching in 10 games, allowing five runs in seven innings. He has been in the Major Leagues parts of seven seasons with Arizona (2017), Tampa Bay (2018-2020), New York-NL (2021), Pittsburgh (2021-2022), Toronto (2022), New York-AL (2022) and Washington (2023), and he is a combined 7-6 with a 5.69 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 118.2 innings. He was originally drafted in the 10th round of the 2012 First Year Player Draft out San Jacinto College by the Milwaukee Brewers.
