Discerning Capital is excited to unveil BettorWatch, Inc., a cutting-edge venture dedicated to providing robust technology solutions for responsible gaming. Developed over the past year, BettorWatch aims to collaborate with industry leaders in the U.S. gaming sector to address and mitigate potentially problematic gaming behaviors.

As part of this launch, BettorWatch has agreed to acquire iProtekt, Inc. (“iProtekt”), thereby expanding its technological capabilities. This acquisition, expected to be finalized early in the first quarter of 2025, highlights BettorWatch’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology for a safer and more sustainable gaming environment. iProtekt’s suite of tools will enhance BettorWatch’s offerings with features like self-exclusion (including cross-geographical exclusion lists), partner and regulator reporting, and real-time player behavior analysis to identify and mitigate harm. In the long term, BettorWatch seeks to develop holistic solutions for identifying and preventing problematic gaming behaviors through comprehensive player behavior analysis and evolving partnerships.

Davis Catlin, Managing Partner at Discerning Capital, explains, “We have been quietly assessing the responsible gaming landscape for over five years and recognized significant gaps that needed addressing. BettorWatch’s focus on sustainability aims to fill these gaps. Our industry connections and partnership-driven strategy will advance responsible gaming initiatives across the United States.”

Upon completing the acquisition, Bryan Price, Founder and CEO of iProtekt, will assume the role of CEO at BettorWatch. Davis Catlin will serve as Executive Chairman of the Board, and David Williams, Partner at Discerning Capital, will take on roles as Board Member and Chief Financial Officer at BettorWatch.

Bryan Price expressed enthusiasm about the new venture: “We are thrilled to join BettorWatch and further our mission of creating a safer gaming industry. By combining iProtekt’s top-tier responsible gaming tools with BettorWatch’s strategic vision and expertise, we aim to significantly impact problem gaming prevention.”

To strengthen its leadership, BettorWatch has appointed an initial Board of Advisors, including industry veterans with vast experience in problem gaming. Notable members include Jonathan Michaels, former Sightline Payments and American Gaming Association executive, now CEO at Michaels Strategies; Sheila Bangalore, a seasoned leader and advisor in the gaming industry; and Dr. Scott Hoover, a Washington & Lee University professor known for his work in identifying social impacts and corrective actions through data analysis.

With a clear mission and a dedicated team, BettorWatch is poised to revolutionize responsible gaming solutions and contribute to a safer and more sustainable gaming industry.
