NEW YORK – Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry, Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson and Indianapolis Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for Week 6 (October 10, 13-14).

OFFENSE: RB DERRICK HENRY, BALTIMORE RAVENS

  • Henry rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Baltimore’s Week 6 win over Washington. This marked Henry’s 20th career game with at least 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, joining Pro Football Hall of Famers Jim Brown (25 games), LaDainian Tomlinson (25) and Emmitt Smith (21) as the only players in NFL history with 20 such career games.
  • This is the ninth-career Offensive Player of the Week Award for Henry, tying Adrian Peterson for the fourth-most ever by a running back:
    • 2018: Week 14 (Titans)
    • 2019: Week 17 (Titans)
    • 2020: Weeks 6, 17 (Titans)
    • 2021: Weeks 2, 6 (Titans)
    • 2022: Week 8 (Titans)
    • 2024: Weeks 4, 6 (Ravens)

DEFENSE: DE WILL ANDERSON, HOUSTON TEXANS

  • Anderson recorded eight tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks and one pass defensed in Houston’s Week 6 win at New England. Anderson led the NFL with three sacks in Week 6 and is the third player this season to record three sacks and a pass defensed in a game.
  • This is Anderson’s first-career Player of the Week award. He becomes the fourth Texans defensive end to win Defensive Player of the Week, joining J.J. Watt (seven times), Mario Williams (twice) and Jadeveon Clowney.
  • Anderson becomes the fifth former Alabama defensive lineman to earn the honor, joining Marcell Dareus, Marty Lyons, Antwan Odom and Quinnen Williams.

SPECIAL TEAMS: P RIGOBERTO SANCHEZ, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

  • Sanchez placed three of his five punts inside the 20-yard line, including two inside the 10-yard line in the final four minutes of the Colts’ Week 6 win at Tennessee.
  • This is the third-career Special Teams Player of the Week award for Sanchez, surpassing Pat McAfee (two) for the most by a Colts punter:

    • 2024: Week 6
  • Sanchez joins Jason Elam (five) as the only former Hawaii players to earn Player of the Week honors three-or-more times.
