Cubs Recall LHP Luke Little as “27th Man” for Doubleheader

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Chicago Cubs recalled left-handed pitcher Luke Little from Triple-A Iowa as the club’s “27th man” for today’s doubleheader against the Miami Marlins.

Little, 23, has made seven appearances (one start) for the Cubs in 2024, posting a 2.70 ERA (2 ER/6.2 IP). He made his major league debut Sept. 6, 2023 and recorded 11-straight scoreless appearances (10.2 IP) to begin his career. The lefthander made his first career Opening Day roster this season and was optioned to Triple-A Iowa April 17.

The six-foot eight-inch Little was selected by the Cubs in the fourth round of the 2020 draft out of San Jacinto College (Tex). Little is a Charlotte, N.C. native and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School.

The Cubs play the Miami Marlins in a doubleheader today at Wrigley Field, with game one scheduled for 1:20 p.m. and game two at 6:40 p.m. CT. Both games can be seen on Marquee Sports Network and heard on 670 The Score and 1200 WRTO.
