ATLANTA, Ga. – The Chicago Cubs today placed right-handed pitcher Adbert Alzolay on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain and recalled right-handed pitcher José Cuas from Triple-A Iowa.

Cuas, 29, has appeared in six games out of the bullpen for Chicago this season, posting a 9.00 ERA (8 ER/8.0 IP). He was recalled from Iowa on Saturday and pitched 2.0 scoreless innings in Pittsburgh, prior to being optioned back to the I-Cubs yesterday.
