The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Chase Dollander from Triple-A Albuquerque and have optioned right-handed pitcher Bradley Blalock to Triple-A.

Dollander, 23, will make his Major League debut this afternoon against the Athletics … will wear #32 … ranked by MLB.com as the Rockies top prospect and the #24 overall prospect in baseball … ranked by Baseball America as the #7 overall prospect in baseball, the highest ranked pitching prospect in Rockies history by Baseball America … made one start with Triple-A Albuquerque to begin his 2025 season, allowing one run in four innings (79 pitches) with five strikeouts on March 30 at Sacramento … went 2-3 with a 7.13 ERA (17.2 IP, 14 ER), 10 walks and 24 strikeouts in his first Major League Spring Training, tied with Kyle Freeland for the most strikeouts on the club … went 6-2 with a 2.59 ERA (118.0 IP, 34 ER), 47 walks and 169 strikeouts in 23 starts between High-A Spokane and Double-A Hartford in 2024, the fourth-most strikeouts in the Minor Leagues … selected by the Rockies in the first round (ninth overall) of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Tennessee … pronounced DOE-lander.
