The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Angel Chivilli (ahn-HEHL chee-vee-yee) from Double-A Hartford and have placed right-handed pitcher Justin Lawrence on the paternity list.

Chivilli, 21, will wear #57 … has made six relief appearances with Hartford in 2024, going 1-0 with one save, a 2.35 ERA (7.2 IP, 2 ER), four walks and eight strikeouts … was added to the 40-man roster on Nov. 14, 2023 and attended his first Major League Spring Training this year, logging three scoreless appearances … went 4-9 with 17 saves and a 5.61 ERA (61.0 IP, 38 ER) in 53 relief appearances between High-A Spokane and Hartford in 2023 … the La Victoria, Dominican Republic native was originally signed by Colorado on July 30, 2018 and has gone 8-19 with 28 saves and a 3.96 ERA (193.0 IP, 85 ER) in 114 career appearances across six Minor League seasons.
