DENVER – It was announced today that the Colorado Rockies have agreed to a one-year contract with infielder Kyle Farmer with a mutual option for 2026.

Farmer, 34, slashed .214/.293/.353 with five home runs, 25 RBI and three stolen bases in 107 games with the Minnesota Twins in 2024 … over parts of eight Major League seasons with Los Angeles-NL (2017-18), Cincinnati (2019-22) and Minnesota (2023-24), has hit .250/.310/.391 with 55 home runs and 254 RBI in 707 games … has appeared in 288 games at shortstop, 179 at second base, 158 at third base, 33 at first base, 19 at catcher, seven in left field and has pitched in four games … originally selected by New York-AL in 35th round of 2012 First-Year Player Draft but elected to attend the University of Georgia … was then selected by Los Angeles-NL in eighth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft.
