Cleveland Indians provide medical update on LHP Sam Hentges

LHP Sam Hentges submitted to a left shoulder assessment by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, in Los Angeles, CA on Thu., Sept. 5. Dr. ElAttrache confirmed that Sam has an injury involving his capsule and labrum in his left shoulder. Dr. ElAttrache’s recommendation is that Sam undergo a surgical procedure, which will be performed by Dr. ElAttrache in Los Angeles on Sept. 18. Rehabilitation/recovery is expected to be in the 12-to-14-month range.
