Chicago White Sox agree to terms on one-year contract with Bryse Wilson

CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on a one-year, $1.05-million contract with veteran right-handed pitcher Bryse Wilson.

Wilson, 26, spent the 2024 season with the Milwaukee Brewers, going 5-4 with a 4.04 ERA (47 ER/104.2 IP) and 82 strikeouts over 34 appearances (nine starts). He went 5-2 with a 3.57 ERA (25 ER/63.0 IP) and 51 strikeouts in 25 outings as a reliever.

Wilson, 6-foot-2 and 270 pounds, has gone 20-21 with a 4.61 ERA (212 ER/413.2 IP) and 305 strikeouts in 143 career appearances (52 starts) over seven major-league seasons with Atlanta (2018-21), Pittsburgh (2021-22) and Milwaukee (2023-24).

Wilson, a native of Durham, N.C., originally was selected by the Braves in the fourth round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of Orange High School in Hillsborough, N.C.

The White Sox 40-man roster increases to 40.
