SEC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSIVE

DYLAN SAMPSON, RB, TENNESSEE

• Sampson rushed for a career-high-tying 139 yards on 26 carries with two touchdowns to lead Tennessee’s offense to a 24-17 win over rival No. 7 Alabama. • Both of Sampson’s scores came in the second half, and 83 of his 139 yards came after contact. • In only seven games this season, Sampson has now moved into a tie for second place in UT single-season rushing touchdowns with 17, one shy of a 95-year-old school record of 18 set by Gene McEver in 1929. • Sampson went over the 100-yard mark for an SEC-leading sixth time this season, which is now tied for sixth in UT single-season history. • Notched multiple rushing touchdowns for the sixth time this season after no other Volunteer this century (2000-24) had even five in a single campaign. • In terms of the UT career record books, Sampson is now fourth in rushing touchdowns (30) and sixth in 100-yard rushing games (10).

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN

EMERY JONES, OT, LSU

• Had best game among LSU offensive lineman, helping the Tigers to 34 points and 393 total yards in win over Arkansas. • LSU scored on all but one possession, punting just once in the contest. • On seven possessions, the Tigers scored 3 rushing TDs and kicked 4 field goals. • Up 27-10, LSU used an 8-minute, 22-second drive in the 4Q, running the ball on 11 of its 14 plays capped with a 1-yard TD run to put the game away. • LSU didn’t allow a sack for the 6th time this year and has allowed only 2 sacks all season.

COOPER MAYS, C, TENNESSEE

• Mays paved the way for a Tennessee offense that put up 408 total yards and 214 rushing yards, which was the most rushing yards allowed by Alabama all season. • Played all 76 offensive snaps and did not allow a sack or a penalty as Tennessee beat No. 7 Alabama. It was the 21st straight game that Mays did allow a sack.

DEFENSIVE

JALON WALKER, LB, GEORGIA

• Exploded for three sacks for a loss of 23 yards as part of his eight tackles in Texas’ continued introduction to the SEC. • Walker also recovered a fumble and had seven quarterback pressures on a defense that kept the Longhorns to 29 yards rushing. • Bouncing back and forth from inside to outside linebacker, his first and second sacks forced punts in the second quarter and is third forced a 2nd-and-21 situation later that period during a drive that concluded with him recovering a fumble.

NICK EMMANWORI, S, SOUTH CAROLINA

• Recorded a season-high 11 tackles including seven solo stops and one tackle for loss in the Gamecocks’ 35-9 rout of Oklahoma. • Intercepted a career-high two passes. • His first interception came on the game’s first play from scrimmage and set up the Gamecocks’ first touchdown five plays later. • Recorded his second pick of the day just a few minutes later and took it to the house to give Carolina a 21-0 lead.

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

TONKA HEMINGWAY, DT, SOUTH CAROLINA

• Picked up a fumble and rambled 36 yards for a touchdown early in the contest, giving Carolina a 14-0 lead in a 35-9 rout of Oklahoma. • Credited with two tackles including an 8-yard sack. • One of nine different players to record a sack for the Gamecocks in a record-setting day. • Helped stifle the Sooners to just 53 yards rushing on 41 attempts, an average of just 1.3 yards per carry

MYKEL WILLIAMS, DT, GEORGIA

• Tallied three tackles, including two sacks, and forced a fumble that was recovered by the Bulldogs • Helped create seven sacks for Georgia, which made UGA only the second team in the last 20 years with seven sacks against the AP No. 1 team, and forced the Longhorns to go 2- of-15 on third downs

SPECIAL TEAMS

DAMIAN RAMOS, PK, LSU

• Set a career-best with 4 field goals, including a career-long tying 48-yarder in the 2Q that stretched the LSU lead to 13-0 … Other field goals covered 33, 33, and 47 yards. • His 33-yarder in 2Q put the Tigers up 16-7 at halftime … Added a 47-yard field goal early in 4Q, making it a three-score game at 27-10. • Converted both PATs, running his consecutive streak to 114, the second-longest streak in school history. • The four field goals were the most by an LSU kicker since 2021 (Cade York vs. Auburn). • Second straight game with 2 field goals of 40-plus yards.

FRESHMAN

JADAN BAUGH, RB, FLORIDA

• In his first-career start, true freshman RB Jadan Baugh scored the first-five rushing touchdowns of his career and finished with 22 carries for 106 yards (first-career 100-yard game). • Baugh’s five rushing TDs are tied for most in program history (Trey Burton vs. UK in 2010, Tim Tebow vs. South Carolina in 2007) and are the most ever by a Gator in his first-career start. • Became the first UF true freshman with at least three rushing TDs in a game since QB Trey Burton also had five vs. Kentucky on Sept. 25, 2010 (five ties true freshman record). • Baugh is the first UF true freshman running back with multiple rushing TDs in a game since Malik Davis on Sept. 30, 2017 vs. Vanderbilt (two).
