WINNIPEG, MB. – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announced that hometown running back Brady Oliveira has signed a three‑year contract extension, keeping him with the club through the 2028 Canadian Football League season.

Oliveira, who was set to become a free agent in February, is already among the most decorated players in franchise history. The North Dakota product (5‑10, 229; born August 15, 1997, in Winnipeg, MB.) will continue his career with the team that drafted him in 2019.

The CFL’s Most Outstanding Player in 2024 and a two‑time recipient of the Most Outstanding Canadian Award (2023, 2024), Oliveira was once again named the Bombers’ top player and top Canadian in 2025. He is also a two‑time CFL All‑Star (2023, 2024) and is coming off a season in which he rushed for 1,163 yards and three touchdowns, while setting career highs in the passing game with 61 receptions for 546 yards.

Oliveira has surpassed the 1,000‑yard rushing mark in four consecutive seasons and currently ranks sixth in franchise history with 5,480 career rushing yards. His 22 career 100‑yard performances – including four rushing and one receiving in 2025 – place him seventh all‑time in team history.

Originally selected by Winnipeg in the second round (14th overall) of the 2019 CFL Draft, Oliveira has appeared in 83 games for the Blue Bombers, scoring 27 touchdowns.
