Belfast’s very own heavy-hitter, Lewis Crocker, is strapping on his gloves to snatch another win under his belt. He’s squaring off against Mexico’s own walking hazard, Jose Felix, at the Newforge Sports Complex.

Hot off the heels of his dazzling shutout victory over Tyrone McKenna, Crocker, 26, (18-0, 10 KOs) is itching to send a loud-and-clear message against Felix, the guy who turned Gary Cully’s lights out earlier this year.

‘The Croc’, riding high on a four-win streak from 2023, hasn’t tasted defeat since he jumped into the pro ring at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall back in 2017. Under the wing of Billy Nelson, this powerhouse is gunning for an action-packed 2024, eyeing those shiny belts in the jam-packed 147lbs division.

Enter Sinaloa’s Felix (40-6-1, 31 KOs), a name Irish fans know all too well. He left jaws on the floor with his upset win over Cully in Dublin. Now at 31, ‘Josesito’ is licking his chops for a second Irish victory.

The undercard is stacked. Cheavon Clarke (7-0, 5 KOs), the cruiserweight on the rise, faces his biggest challenge against Belfast’s own Tommy McCarthy. Then there’s Belfast Super-Lightweight Sean McComb (18-1, 5 KOs), fresh from his win over Sam Maxwell, and Limerick’s Welterweight whiz Paddy Donovan (12-0, 9 KOs), ready to start 2024 with a bang. Don’t miss Guildford Lightweight Giorgio Visioli (1-0, 1 KO) in his second pro outing and Newham Middleweight Leli Buttigieg (1-0, 1 KO) returning to Belfast for round two.

Crocker’s buzzing to be back so soon. “December 2nd was my big bash, and what a night it was,” he said. “It was proof I’m meant for big Belfast nights. Big thanks to Matchroom and Jamie Conlan for lining this up so quick. I know Felix is no walk in the park, but I’m ready.

“I’m skipping Christmas dinner this year, but come January 27th, ‘The Croc’ is going to chow down on some Mexican cuisine!”

Felix is equally pumped. “I’m thrilled to be fighting in my second home,” he shared. “Ireland, especially Belfast, knows its boxing. Big shoutout to God, Paco Damian, and Matchroom Boxing for this chance. Like a true Mexican warrior, I’m bringing my all. See you soon!”

Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Sport Chairman, can’t hide his excitement. “I’m stoked to be back in Belfast after our Michael Conlan vs. Jordan Gill extravaganza,” he said. “We’ve got another thriller with Lewis Crocker and Jose Felix. Felix, after trashing Gary Cully, is hungry for another Irish win. Plus, we’ve got a stellar undercard. Catch it all live on DAZN.”
