Boxing: Christopher Pearson Takes on Trevor McCumby TONIGHT in Plant City, Florida

NEW YORK – Split-T Management super middleweight Christopher Pearson will be back in action TONIGHT when he takes on undefeated Trevor McCumby at The Whitesands Event Center.

Pearson of Selma, Texas by way of Dayton, Ohio is 17-3-1 with 12 knockouts. The 33 year-old is looking for a big win that will propel him back into super middleweight contention as he has already amassed wins over Arturo Crespin (10-2-1), Acacio Joao Ferreira (14-0-1), Steve Martinez (15-1), Said El Harrak (12-2-2), Janks Trotter (9-1-1), Joshua Okine (28-6-1) and world title challenger Yamaguchi Falcao (16-0). Pearson is coming off a draw with Derrick Webster on August 26th in Atlantic City.

McCumby, 31, is 27-0 with 21 knockouts. The Glendale, Arizona resident is on the fringe of a big opportunity and this will be his third bout at super middleweight as he is coming down from light heavyweight. McCumby has wins over Jason Smith (8-2-1), Rafael Valenzuela (8-2), Fabiano Pena (5-1-1), Brian Holsten (10-2), Dustin Echard (11-1) and his bout when stopped Rodolfo Ezequiel Martinez on June 24th in Phoenix.

Pearson and McCumby each weighed 167.6 lbs at Tuesday’s weigh-in.

The fight will be streamed live on Probox TV at 8 PM ET.
