BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox have traded right-handed pitcher Brian Van Belle to the Cincinnati Reds, receiving cash considerations in return.

Van Belle, 28, was designated for assignment on June 11 after being selected to Boston’s active Major League roster on June 9, though he did not make an appearance.
