BOSTON – The Boston Red Sox on Thursday sent minor‑league outfielder Harold Rivas to the Baltimore Orioles, completing the August 3 trade that brought catchers Adley Rutschman and Jake Rogers to Boston.
Rivas, 18, was ranked as the Red Sox’s No. 21 prospect by Baseball America at the time of the deal. The right‑handed‑hitting center fielder appeared in 46 games for the Florida Complex League Red Sox, batting .241 with six doubles, four triples, six home runs and 19 RBI. He made 43 starts in center field and two as designated hitter.
Signed out of Venezuela as an international free agent in January 2025, Rivas has hit .249 across 92 career minor‑league games, totaling 12 doubles, eight triples, eight home runs and 39 RBI — all within Boston’s system.
