Winfrey was a key contributor for the Stallions throughout the 2025 UFL season, appearing in all 10 regular season games and earning six starts along the defensive front. He recorded 29 total tackles, including two for loss, one sack, four pass deflections, and a forced fumble. The former Oklahoma Sooner shined in the USFL Conference Championship Game, tallying four tackles and a sack for an 11-yard loss. His standout performance earned him a spot on the 2025 All-UFL Team.

Before turning pro, Winfrey played two seasons at the University of Oklahoma, where he twice earned All-Big 12 Second-Team honors under head coach Lincoln Riley. A former No. 1 junior college prospect, Winfrey transferred to OU from Iowa Western Community College.

He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft (108th overall) and appeared in 13 games as a rookie, collecting 22 tackles and two passes defended. After being waived by the Browns, he briefly joined the New York Jets’ practice squad before signing with Birmingham on October 3, 2024.

Should Winfrey return to the UFL, the Stallions retain his playing rights.
