The Baltimore Orioles acquired minor‑league outfielder Jhomnardo Reyes from the Minnesota Twins on Saturday in exchange for right‑hander Dean Kremer, adding one of the Twins’ rising international prospects to their farm system.

Reyes Brings Power, Speed, and Strong Early Production

Reyes, 18, has been one of the standout performers in the Florida Complex League this season. He hit .296/.409/.541 with 12 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 44 RBI, 31 runs scored, 27 walks, and 14 stolen bases across 47 games for the FCL Twins before earning a promotion to Single‑A Fort Myers on July 24.

His production placed him among the league’s leaders in several categories, including:

  • 3rd in RBI
  • T‑3rd in doubles
  • 4th in slugging percentage
  • 5th in OPS (.950)
  • T‑5th in extra‑base hits (22)
  • T‑7th in total bases (86)
  • 9th in batting average

Signed as an international free agent in January 2025, the Mao, Dominican Republic native has quickly climbed Minnesota’s prospect rankings. Baseball America rated him the No. 12 prospect in the Twins’ system, while MLB Pipeline listed him at No. 24.

Kremer Heads to Minnesota After Seven Seasons in Baltimore

Kremer, 30, departs Baltimore after making 133 career appearances (130 starts) with the club. He went 42–44 with a 4.37 ERA across 707.2 innings, striking out 616 batters and walking 233. This season, he posted a 1–4 record and 6.50 ERA over seven starts.

Kremer originally joined the Orioles in July 2018 as part of the six‑player trade that sent Manny Machado to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The move gives Baltimore a high‑upside outfield prospect while Minnesota adds a veteran arm with extensive American League experience.
