Baltimore Orioles Agree to Terms with Charlie Morton

The Baltimore Orioles have officially signed right-handed pitcher Charlie Morton to a one-year major league contract for the 2025 season.

Charlie Morton:

• 2024 Performance: Morton finished the season with the Atlanta Braves, posting an 8-10 record and a 4.19 ERA over 165.1 innings pitched. He recorded 167 strikeouts, 65 walks, and allowed 154 hits, including 23 home runs, across 30 starts.
• Consistency: He is one of only four pitchers to have made at least 30 starts in each full season since 2018, alongside José Berríos, Patrick Corbin, and Aaron Nola. Over the last four years with the Braves, Morton compiled a 45-34 record with a 3.87 ERA in 686.1 innings.
• Career: A 17-year MLB veteran, Morton has played for the Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, and Pittsburgh Pirates. He holds a career record of 138-123 with a 4.01 ERA, amassing 2,047 strikeouts over 2,125.2 innings in 383 games (382 starts). His 138 wins tie him for the seventh most among active pitchers.
