A’s Reinstate OF Andujar from 10-day Injured List; Option INF Harris to Las Vegas

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s reinstated outfielder Miguel Andujar from the 10-day injured list and optioned infielder Brett Harris to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.

Andujar began the season on the injured list after undergoing right knee lateral meniscus surgery and will be making his A’s debut. He began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas on May 16 and went 7-for-18 (.389) with three runs, four doubles, six RBI, a walk, two strikeouts and a 1.032 OPS in five games. The 29-year-old right-handed hitter was claimed off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Nov. 6, 2023. Andujar begins his eighth season in the majors, which includes stints with the Yankees (2017-22) and Pirates (2022-23).

Harris was selected from Las Vegas on May 3 and went 5-for-43 (.116) with three home runs and five RBI in 17 games with Oakland in his Major League debut. He was batting .289 with three home runs, 20 RBI and an .874 OPS in 27 games with the Aviators at the time of his promotion.
