A’s option LHP Hogan Harris to Triple-A Las Vegas

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s optioned left-handed pitcher Hogan Harris to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today. The move clears a roster spot for right-handed pitcher Brandon Bielak, who was acquired from Houston yesterday for cash considerations.

Harris has a 4.15 ERA and .619 opponents OPS in two relief appearances over two stints with the A’s this year. He was called up for the first time on May 6, pitched on May 7, was optioned on May 8, recalled on May 15 and pitched on May 16. Harris is 1-1 with a 7.56 ERA in seven starts with Las Vegas.

Bielak was acquired from Houston yesterday after compiling a 5.71 ERA and .860 opponents OPS in 10 relief appearances. He was designated for assignment on May 11.
