PHOENIX – Arizona sportsbooks took in roughly $676.6 million in wagers during May 2026, according to new figures released by the Arizona Department of Gaming, marking a 4.3% decline compared with the same month last year.

Despite the dip in betting volume, the state collected approximately $4.8 million in event wagering privilege fees for May. Through the first 11 months of the 2026 fiscal year, Arizona has generated an estimated $58.7 million in privilege-fee revenue — including $57.4 million from sports wagering and $1.3 million from fantasy sports contests.

Since Arizona launched legal sports betting in 2021, bettors have wagered $35.3 billion, producing about $190.6 million in privilege fees for the state.
