Jason Robertson scored his second career natural hat trick (also March 26, 2025) as the Stars stretched their winning streak to five games and improved to 9-0-0 in their last nine home contests against the Flyers dating to Dec. 11, 2015. Robertson became the second player in franchise history with multiple natural hat tricks, following Minnesota North Stars forward Neal Broten (Nov. 17, 1985 & Nov. 26, 1983).
* Robertson attended Team USA’s orientation camp for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and is hoping to help the Americans win their first men’s gold medal since Broten was part of the “Miracle on Ice” team in 1980. Robertson and Broten are two of 15 American players in NHL history with multiple natural hat tricks – the only skater among that group with three is former Olympian and Stars forward Brett Hull.
McDAVID, DRAISAITL PROPEL OILERS TO OVERTIME VICTORY
After Connor McDavid (2-1—3) scored twice to put the Oilers up 2-0 and 3-2, the Hurricanes battled back to pull even in the third period but Leon Draisaitl (1-2—3) found the back of the net in overtime to lift Edmonton to victory at Lenovo Center.

* McDavid, who surpassed Wayne Gretzky on the Oilers’ go-ahead goals list, assisted on a game-winning goal scored by Draisaitl for the 44th time in his career. McDavid tied Bryan Trottier (44 on GWGs by Mike Bossy) for the third-most assists on game winners scored by one teammate in NHL history behind Henrik Sedin (66 on GWGs by Daniel Sedin) and Nicklas Backstrom (51 on GWGs by Alex Ovechkin).
* Draisaitl scored his 20th career overtime goal and surpassed John Tavares and Jaromir Jagr for the fourth most in NHL history. It also marked his 73rd career game-winning goal, breaking a three-way tie with McDavid and Glenn Anderson for the most in Oilers history.
SABRES COMPLETE LEAGUE’S FOURTH THREE-GOAL COMEBACK WIN THIS SEASON
The Sabres fell behind 4-1 early in the game but cut the deficit to two heading into the third period, where Tage Thompson (1-1—2) and Ryan McLeod, who scored shorthanded, levelled the game and sent it to overtime. The extra frame saw Thompson assist on Mattias Samuelsson’s first career overtime goal to give Buffalo its first three-goal comeback victory since March 28, 2022, when they were down as much as four against the Blackhawks.

Sunday’s five-game schedule starts with Sidney Crosby and the Penguins facing Filip Forsberg and the Predators during the 2025 NHL Global Series Sweden presented by Fastenal finale at Avicii Arena in Stockholm. Forsberg had the tying goal with 70 seconds remaining in regulation before Steven Stamkos scored the overtime winner during the opener Friday.
* The slate is capped by Matthew Schaefer skating his first career contest against League scoring leader, 11-game point streak holder and fellow No. 1 pick Nathan MacKinnon. Schaefer became the youngest player in NHL history with a regular-season overtime goal Friday and can become the third youngest to tally in three consecutive contests behind 17-year-olds Don Gallinger (3 GP from March 9-16, 1943) and Ted Kennedy (3 GP from Nov. 21-27, 1943 & Dec. 2-11, 1943).
